  奠定 3d 機器人格鬥遊戲風格的《機戰傭兵 armored core》，如今號稱 ps2系列的最後作品－《機戰傭兵-lastraven-》即將誕生！在本作之中，不但繼承了系列作品裡，可以細部微調機體的最大特徵，而且還大幅地追加了全新的劇情！距離最後的大戰已沒有多餘的時間了，最後僅剩下的 24 小時裡，在各自賭上生命的戰役之中，玩者您是否能順利地存活下來呢？
◆ 自由組裝機器人！刺激的超高速戰鬥！
　　可自由組裝為其最大特色的超硬派機器人對戰－《機戰傭兵》系列，本作為其值得記念的第 10部集大成作品！在本作之中，可使用的機體零件高達500種，而其中追加的高性能新零件則有20種以上。透過這些零件無論是要組裝出火力強大的移動坦克型、攻守平衡的基本型、極度輕量化的高速機動型的機器人，皆可由玩者您自由抉擇並找出最適合您的機器人！此外，除敘述主要劇情的「任務模式」之外，遊戲中還有「vr競技場模式」喔！在此您可以和其他的30名高手戰鬥，一方面賺取改機體的資金同時爭奪世界排名的順位。
◆ 時間限制下的緊張感！高自由度的劇情張力！
　　本作最大的特點，便是採用在一定時間內的「變動式任務」及「多重結局」的遊戲系統。簡單來說，就是在24小時的時間限制下，依玩者的抉擇可以自由描繪遊戲劇情。而透過此系統，玩者您可以完全融入遊戲世界，去體驗並主導在這24小時之內的世界局勢演變。在這限時之內，您最多可完成12∼13個任務，雖然比起以往的系列作品要來的少，但您卻可以在短時間內重覆地遊玩，並享受到變化多端的遊戲劇情喔！
◆ 更具戰略性的部位破壞系統！
　　系列作中所導入的「部位破壞系統」，是指透過集中火力攻擊特定部位（頭、核心、腕、腳），即可有效率地先將其破壞的系統。為何要導入此系統呢？即便是要讓戰鬥更具有戰略性。舉例來說，若敵人右手的武器深具威脅，或是使用著超高性能的零件，您若先將其破壞掉，即可讓自己處於優勢並掌握戰鬥的流程。而破壞又分為一次破壞及二次破壞等兩個階段，在一次破壞時，機體零件會冒出白煙（可修復）；而二次破壞時則零件會炸爆而消失（需重新購買）。此外，若玩者您想更快速結束戰鬥，則可以全力攻擊核心部分，因為若成功擊破核心就等於擊敗對手了喔！
